Installing FileMaker Pro in macOS

Before you install

If a previous version of FileMaker Pro is installed, decide whether to install or upgrade before you continue. See Ways to install or upgrade FileMaker Pro.

Check that your computer meets the system requirements. See FileMaker Technical Specifications.

To install FileMaker Pro, you must have macOS administrator privileges and use an administrator account and password.

If your computer is running virus protection software, turn it off before you install FileMaker Pro, and then turn it back on afterward.

FileMaker Pro uses the same language as the current macOS system language. To change the language, use System Settings and restart FileMaker Pro.
