Installing FileMaker Pro in macOS

Before you install

  • If a previous version of FileMaker Pro is installed, decide whether to install or upgrade before you continue. See Ways to install or upgrade FileMaker Pro.

  • Check that your computer meets the system requirements. See FileMaker Technical Specifications.

  • To install FileMaker Pro, you must have macOS administrator privileges and use an administrator account and password.

  • If your computer is running virus protection software, turn it off before you install FileMaker Pro, and then turn it back on afterward.

  • FileMaker Pro uses the same language as the current macOS system language. To change the language, use System Settings and restart FileMaker Pro.
