About Claris Connect

Claris Connect is a cloud-based integration platform as a service (iPaaS) that lets you automate workflows by connecting the apps, data sources, and services your business depends on. Instead of manually moving data between systems or writing custom integration code, you build flows—automated sequences of triggers and actions that run on your behalf whenever a defined event occurs.

Claris Connect is designed to work seamlessly with Claris FileMaker and Claris Studio, making it the natural choice for teams already building custom apps on the Claris platform. It also supports dozens of third-party connectors—from productivity tools like Slack and DocuSign to CRMs, marketing platforms, and more.

What you can do with Claris Connect

Claris Connect gives you flexible tools to build integrations that range from simple two-step automations to complex, conditional workflows.

  • Connect third-party apps - Use prebuilt connectors for hundreds of popular apps and services. Select a trigger in one app and an action in another to create a flow in minutes, without writing code.

  • Integrate Claris custom apps - Connect Claris FileMaker and Claris Studio apps directly into your automated workflows. Claris Connect and the Claris platform are optimized to work together.

  • Use built-in utilities - Perform data operations—such as converting CSV files, building JSON objects, working with dates and images, or running calculations—using predefined utility steps, no connector required.

  • Build conditional logic - Add if-then branching, loops, stop steps, and on-error handling to create workflows that respond intelligently to different data conditions.

  • Create custom connectors - If a connector doesn't exist for the app or service you need, you can build your own using the Claris Connect custom connector framework. Custom connectors support any app with a REST API. See Creating custom connectors.

Claris Connect and Apple School Manager

Claris Connect provides dedicated connectors and templates that support data synchronization between Student Information Systems (SIS) and Apple School Manager. School districts can use these to automatically sync roster and account data on a recurring schedule.

For most districts, the Sync Assist feature within Apple School Manager provides a guided interface for managing SIS-to-Apple School Manager data syncs. For districts that need more control—or whose SIS is not directly supported—Claris Connect flows can be configured manually to upload school data in CSV format via SFTP. Security and compliance

Claris Connect is built with enterprise-grade security. It uses end-to-end encryption, Claris ID authentication, OAuth, and multi-factor authentication (MFA). Claris maintains ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management and ISO/IEC 27018 certification for protection of personal data in the cloud. Claris Connect infrastructure is monitored 24/7.
