Preserving remote backups

You can preserve remote backups. Preserved backups cannot be automatically deleted.

You can remove preserved backups that are no longer needed. After you remove a backup from the preserved list, it is automatically deleted based on the number of days set for the Backups Retention Policy setting. To change this setting, click Remote Backups > Remote Backup Settings.

To preserve a backup:

1. Click Remote Backups > Listed By Timestamp, then select the backups to preserve.

2. Click More, then click Preserve Backup.

   A check mark appears next to the backup in the Preserved column.

To remove a backup from the preserved list:

1. On the Preserved tab, select the backup.

2. Click More, then click Undo Preserve.
